Overview

Clow Valve has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Trainee in our industry leading Valve and Hydrant Manufacturing Company. If you are ambitious, highly motivated, competitive and hard-working then we invite you to apply for Clow’s Outside Sales Trainee position. This position will allow the qualified candidate to gain real-world experience and formal training to become a member of our Sales Team. The Outside Sales Trainee will be given the opportunity to learn our product and work in the field.

Responsibilities

•Traveling assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and solicit orders for our valve and hydrant products.
•Develops relationships with new and potential customers.
•Prepare price quotations or bids based on material, labor costs and manufacturing schedules and processes.
•Submit bidding to customers for approval.
•Enter new customer data and keep customer database up to date.
•Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts
•Investigates and solves problems with order delivery.
•Reports business transactions and keep expense account.
•Learns and follows our Environmental Management system as defined and required. 

Qualifications

The qualified applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree, and must be willing to relocate to assigned territory.
•Proven Sales Ability, and ability to develop new clients into long lasting customers.
•Ability to build and network for new business opportunities and referrals.
•Ability to establish professional relationships with customers and purchasing contacts.
•Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
•General accounting and financial management principles.
•Time and priority management is a must.
•Knowledge of waterworks business, including valve and hydrant industry a strong plus.
