Overview

This is a temporary position that supports the Health and Safety Department at the Metal Casting Facility and works to prepare, maintain, and record training to meet Health and Safety goals. This temporary position will last approximately three months.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles training materials and distributes to required personnel
  • Tracks all training and administers training as needed.
  • Maintains both electronic and physical files and records to ensure corporate and federal compliance
  • Small project coordinator for safety related functions
  • Reads incoming material, verifies accuracy, and sorts and codes according to file system. File system is, both physical files and computer files.
  • Stores material in paper form, or enters information into computerized storage system.
  • Retrieves materials for qualified personnel upon request.
  • Searches for and investigates information contained in files, inserts additional data on file records, completes reports, and keeps files current.
  • Retrieves and distributes mail
  • Performs data entry for Safety
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office, along with good computer skills.
  • Understanding of web based training systems is a plus (IE: Medgate, PureSafety).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A flexible schedule.
