Overview

Clow Valve Maintenance Journeymen are responsible for a variety of maintenance related tasks. Responsibilities include performing quality work in a timely, safe, neat and orderly manner. Must be able to work effectively with other personnel and independently with minimal supervision. Be able to perform routine lubrication requirements on machines and equipment, as well as the ability to recognize and report obvious need for machine and equipment.

 

 

Starting rate of pay: $23.00/hr

Shift: 2nd

Responsibilities

- Able to read blueprints, drawings, diagrams as required to perform Maintenance Journeyman work.
-Trouble shoot and make any repairs or adjustments, normally done in the machine shop to any of the motorized equipment and forklifts.
-Required to repair, adjust and install 440 volt or less electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code Requirements, must be able to use electrical measuring instruments, electrical protecting devices as well as single phase motors.
-Be able to trouble shoot, adjust or repair or install any pneumatic equipment.
-Be able to trouble shoot, adjust, repair or install any hydraulic equipment.
-Must be able to do advanced electrical welding.
-Must be able to do major plumbing repairs and installations, have knowledge of piping systems.
-Must demonstrate the ability to make installations, major repairs and adjustments to gas heating systems.
-Be able to trouble shoot and install programmable logic controllers (PLC). 

Qualifications

- Must have at least 4-5 years of verifiable industrial manufacturing mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience. Tech degree is a strong plus.
-Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolds.
-Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
-Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
-Post offer drug screen, physical, and background check are required.
-Upon hire applicant will be required to test and verify qualifications within 90 days of hire.
