Provide daily assistance by addressing employee and labor relations issues and redirect all serious issues/problems to HR Manager for additional action.
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation along with other members of management.
Process hiring-related paperwork.
Support/Coordinate HR initiatives such as training and development, performance review, sexual harassment, and general training, etc.
Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, programs, and policies in the union contract.
Provide coaching and counseling to department heads on HR related issues and assist with the preparation of employee disciplinary/correction notices.
Communicate updates plant wide including but not limited to e-mails, posting.
Manage employee’s personnel files with updated information, attendance/discipline letters, benefits changes and payroll information.
Assist with HR projects, training, events and payroll as required.
Respond to claims for unemployment compensation.
General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel.
