Serves customers by providing product and service information; acts as a liaison between customers and our manufacturing plants, assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, and other queries; and resolves product and service problems. 


  • Assisting customers with shipment tracking
  • Retrieving and sending documents to customers. Typical documents: U1A forms, invoices, sales orders, ABS forms, etc.
  • Preparing and sending freight quotes for customers
  • Filing various types of paperwork
  • Answer switchboard calls and routing them appropriately
  • Other tasks as assigned and on an as needed basis


Education and Experience


Experience in a customer service environment and manufacturing or technical environment is preferred. The ability to read and understand blueprints is a plus. High school diploma required.


Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrate an ability to coordinate with various levels of both internal and external customers to obtain information, determine solutions and process to completion orders, inquiries and pricing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Word.
  • Organizational skills to administer and track all inquiries while maintaining a positive attitude and professional manner with customers.
  • The ability to work and think independently.
  • Able to absorb the technical terms of Manchester various products, policies and procedures.
  • A proven track record showing the ability to multitask.
  • Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge; is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge as well as business skills.
  • Solves difficult problems with effective solutions; asks good questions and probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see underlying or hidden problems and patterns; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers.
