The Human Resources Business Partner promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Clow Valve by creating an outstanding employee experience through talent acquisition, onboarding, learning & development, and employee engagement.
1. Business Partnering (50%): Align business objectives with employees and managers. Be a consultant to client group managers on people and human resource-related issues. Be an employee champion and change agent by assessing and anticipating business needs and providing HR solutions. Maintain an effective level of business acumen and understand how strategic initiatives and day-to-day business and facility operations fits in with the overall company objectives. Collaborate with supervisors and managers to effectively execute disciplinary procedures and ensure appropriate, compliant action is taken and accurately documented. Proactively work with and coach Supervisors and Managers on how to strengthen accountability on their team as well as document performance issues and recommended behavioral / performance improvements. Support a collaborative environment by being available, approachable and following through relative to employee questions, complaints, grievances, and concerns. Manage policy, procedure, and unemployment updates as well as the sharing of information and training staff as needed in accordance with FMLA, FLSA, ADAAA, and Anti-Harassment laws and regulations. Participate in client manger meetings, spend time on the manufacturing floor, learn the people, processes, systems, and how work gets done.
2. Recruitment Life Cycle (35%): Be the primary contact for all employee life cycle matters for specified client group. Advise line managers on employment regulations and procedures to enable successful outcomes to employee related matters. Participate in client group manger meetings; act as an internal consultant to client managers providing challenge and suggestions for improving employee engagement, retention and development of talent. Analyze hiring needs as well as filter and identify optimal qualified candidates while monitoring AAP goals. Lead and coordinate recruitment life cycle process to ensure the retention, growth and development of top talent at Clow Valve Company.
3. Employee Engagement (15%): Coaching and promoting employee engagement by partnering with Supervisors and managers in their business group to grow relationships and foster trust in the organization. Promote employee interaction and appreciation by partnering with the HR Coordinator to oversee annual Employee Engagement events. Work with client group to understand and facilitate engagement opportunities that demonstrate commitment and appreciation to our team members. Manage distribution of communication materials with in business group to effectively meet communication strategy needs.
4. Community Relations (5%): Supervise, organize, and be the resolution for all external employee branding and advertising for Clow in a variety of medium. Coordinate, track and distribute Clow Valve Sponsorships to deliver on Clow Valve’s community partnership and philanthropy efforts. Promote community relations and act as a representative of the organization including SHRM, United Way-Facility Tour, Fundraising, and managing facility tours.
