  • Overview


    Under the direction of the Plant Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, design, machining, fabrication, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects. Additionally, the engineer ensures effective communication, and coordination on assigned projects between disciplines and other project participants.

    • Participate in or lead capital improvement projects for new equipment, retrofits, etc.
    • Lead cross functional team activities for process issues that arise
    • Inspect equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine improvements
    • Design and implement tooling/fixtures to support continuous improvement ideas
    • Identify/assist in developing and implementing cycle time, and cost reduction initiatives
    • Facilitate ergonomic improvements in the factory
    • Compile data and analyze information to assist in justifying machine improvements, process changes, or capital investments



    • BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Engineering, or Engineering Technology
    • 3-5 years' experience with manufacturing processes (can include co-op/intern experience)
    • Self-motivated team player, and able to follow or provide direction
    • Must have excellent project management, communication, and documentation skills
    • Must have knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies (FMEA, root cause, 5S, six sigma, process flow analysis)
    • Proficient in MS Office products, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software.
    • Tooling and fixture design experience
    • Experience with machining, welding, and brazing is a plus
    • Understanding of PLCs, HMI, and automation is a plus
    • MS in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is a plus
