    As a member of a Product Development team, a Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for qualifying new designs and OEM products, managing FCC, ISED, CE and UL certifications, and troubleshooting any customer returns to facilitate improvements to the products that make up the Synapse IoT product portfolio.  A successful candidate has a passion for quality and organization, loves testing and making things better than before.     • Ensure Synapse products meet customers’ expectations for quality, function and performance
    • Review product requirements/specifications to estimate complexity, cost and schedule for testing new product designs and OEM products
    • Perform and document Qualification/Reliability testing on new product designs and OEM products
    • Lead the effort to define and improve Qualification/Reliability testing processes and test plans
    • Lead the design effort for rebranding or re-specifying existing products – including testing, documentation and labeling
    • Work with Compliance Testing facilities to quote, manage and maintain certifications for the Synapse IoT portfolio
    • Perform and document Failure Analysis testing on customer returns
    • Work with Customer Support and Design Engineers to resolve Failure Analysis issues for the customer
    • Work with Technical Publications to create appropriate user documentation
    • Participate as a full team member on a Product Design team
    • Other duties and projects as needed to ensure the growth and success of the company


    • BSEE or equivalent required
    • 5-10 years of applicable testing and reliability experience required
    • Experience working with FCC, ISED, CE and UL standards and certifications required
    • Excellent work ethic and a team player required
    • A passion for organization, testing and making things better required
    • Strong communicative and collaborative skills required
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
    • Comfortable multitasking, resolving competing priorities, and meeting project deadlines
    • Experience with schematic capture tools desired
    • Experience with AC power supplies, embedded microcontrollers and 802.15.4 wireless networking desired
