  • Overview

     The Technology Coordinator will  maintain the information technology systems and networds, performing both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer.

    Responsibilities

    1. Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users
    2. Provide technical support and/or training for systems and networks and act as link between end users and software/product vendor support as needed to ensure resolution of any issues
    3. Install and configure software and hardware as necessary, ensuring all applicable connectors are labeled and documented for future reference
    4. Monitor systems and network performance, ensuring issues are handled proactively when possible;
    5. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and data backup
    6. Perform maintenance and test activities of the system and network
    7. Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules; coordinate schedules with vendors
    8. Work with all departments to investigate, review needs, obtain price quotes, make recommendations, install and maintain personal computers, networks and other related software and hardware.
    9. Develop and implement protocols for the use of technology across departments and projects
    10. Assure all capital expenditure equipment and services are sent with proper justification for approval per established protocol.
    11. Order technology supplies and equipment, tracking assigned items and usage of consumables
    12. Attend meetings and trainings as requested; participate in project teams as needed
    13. Assist with implementing practices that will more effectively utilize IT resources
    14. Assist with telephone changes and set up
    15. Maintain and increase knowledge regarding related and new technology

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Minimum Required:  Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.  A combination of certification and experience may be substituted for education. 

    Preferred:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

     

    Experience: 

    Minmal Required: At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with proven experience in administering IT systems and networks

    Preferred: At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with proven experience in administering IT systems and networks

     

    • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications including current Windows based programs
    • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
    • Experience working with relevant software applications
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with software and hardware
    • Great attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
    • Strong ability for effective time management
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills utilizing a both oral and written formats
    • Ability to collaborate with others on projects and technology related issues
    • Ability and willingness to take initiative in order to meet organizational and departmental needs
    • Have a customer service mindset
