  • Overview

     

    Plan, direct, and coordinate the production and maintenance activities and resources necessary for the production of ductile iron fittings on a no-bake molding line in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following:

    • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
    • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
    • Direct and coordinate production, processing, and maintenance activities on a no-bake ductile iron fitting molding line.
    • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports to detect production problems.
    • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
    • Prepare and maintain production reports.
    • Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
    • Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and personnel, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
    • Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
    • Coordinate and recommend procedures for line and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
    • May be required to work any shift.

    Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university preferred.
    • Five (5) to ten (10) years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training required.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
