Entry Level/Will train $17.67 per hour

30 days until union benefits begin, pay increase to $19.00 after 120 days
Operates a touch screen from a CRT database to activate and deactivate the process of pipe bundling in the pipe finishing.
Manipulates buttons and knobs on a control panel centrally located to start the operation of bundling pipe machine. Must be alert to all surroundings of the operation prior to start up of the machine to ensure safety of everyone in close vicinity of machine. Must have broad knowledge of product to be able to set up controls for various product settings.
Maintains and makes necessary adjustments to device on control panel for various operations. Must be able to program CRT setting whenever pipe bundling size changes.
Keeps magazine slots filled with wooden boards on the upper level whenever replenishment is necessary and reset machine after each replenishment.
Ensures steel strappers are filled in the dispensary whenever empty and reset machine after each replenishment.
Must be very alert of surroundings before each operation of equipment; visually observes machines at all times for proper function.
Enters job counts into computer system after changing each setting.
Notifies Pipe Finishing Supervisor or Management whenever CRT malfunctions.
Keeps work area clean, orderly and safe at all times.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.
Must wear proper PPE such as, goggles, ear plugs, hard hat, and meta tarsal boots.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to speak and understand English, so that he can communicate effectively with other departments.
Ability to write notes.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
Must be very alert to all surroundings, and capable of handling multifunction at one time. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations relating to the efficient and timely movement of pipe. Considerable initiative and ingenuity and judgment required to operate bundling machine. Must properly analyze and categorize inferior pipe.
Continuous physical exertion due to walking up and downstairs caring wooden slats by hand to the upper level for replenishment of magazine slots.
Must concentrate mental and visual attention closely to ensure machine is functioning properly and make any necessary adjustment to machine that are needed.
