Under the direction of manager, collects and compiles technical information for the Environmental department. Environmental technicians assist environmental engineers to prevent, control, and eliminate environmental hazards. They primarily inspect, test, decontaminate, troubleshoot, and operate equipment used to control environmental pollution, including waste treatment and air pollution control equipment.
A major responsibility of an environmental technician is to monitor compliance with environmental regulations regarding Clean Air Act.
Operate and maintain environmental systems in most efficient and cost effective manner possible. Eliminate production downtime due to environmental systems.

· Assists in clean-up of water treatment operations
· Low differential pressure
· No dust accumulation
· No visible Cupola emissions
· MACT PMs completed on time
· Assists in clean-up and bag change-outs
Team members assigned to work areas that involve hazardous waste must attend periodic training pertaining to proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste as required by EPA.
Probable errors could result in reporting erroneous or improper information. Fines could be levied against the Company due to errors.
Environmental technicians work a standard forty-hour week in an industrial setting. Daily exposure to dust, noise, heat, water, chemicals, confined spaces and elevated heights.
