Overview

Inside sales team members support outside sales team efforts, relationships with rep and distributors, and goals of the organization.

 

Position Summary:

 

Extension of the outside sales team, managing and helping external sales team members provide managing project work and RFQ’s. Provide pricing and quotation on quick turnaround opportunities and working with application engineering on status of large RFQ’s. Assist in reading plans and specs, helping to provide quick interpretation of applicable products. Help provide application engineers with CRM information and updates.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with outside sales members for MPI and MPI customers, providing the following information:
    • Quick spec review for applicable products.
    • Pricing on small quotes and jobs as authorized.
    • Status on orders with ship dates and tracking.
    • Status on quotation requests.
    • Updating CRM information on RFQ’s and details coming from reps & distributors.
    • Other information required by RSM and customers.
  • Collaborates with marketing team on external support documents used by inside sales team

Qualifications

 Required Qualification

 

  • High level of outgoing interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong communication, organization, & people skills to be a dynamic leader internally and externally.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail. Excellent time management skills.
  • Experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and able to guide a team in leveraging CRM tools to track, manage and measure department activities. (position will use Microsoft Dynamics CRM).       Familiarity other industry technology-based productivity tools and construction project databases (ConstructConnect/iSquareFoot, etc.); CPQ (configure, price, quote) software tools; and team productivity tools (Slack, Trello, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license with no major violations.   
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior inside sales experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude or engineering background.
