Assist the Health and Safety Engineer with Ergonomic Projects that are being conducted at Amerex. Position is a part-time position working 2-4 days per-week, 4-8 hours per-day. This position is not benefit eligible


  • Conduct Ergonomic Risk Assessments, Planning and Scheduling Meetings for Ergonomic Teams, and Participating in Planning Ideas to correct hazards identified with the projects.
  • Assist the Health and Safety Engineer with Machine Risk Assessments and Stop Time Measurement Calculations.
  • Assist in culture initiatives. Tasks would include, Assisting the Health and Safety Engineers in conducting culture training for employees, Interview employees about Health and Safety procedures on the plant floor, Assisting in the distribution of training for employees.
  • Assist in conducting Health and Safety Procedure Audits scheduled.
  • Review work instructions, procedures, and forms to ensure there are no gaps in the Safety Management System.
  • Assist the Health and Safety Engineers and Health and Safety Manager in collecting data (completed inspections and forms) and organizing into reports to send out to the management team.
  • Assist the Health and Safety Manager with completion of Risk Reduction Plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




  • Assist First Aid office answering phones, completing initial documentation of Office visits, filing, faxing, basic computer skills, scheduling follow-up appointments for exposure group physicals, and laboratory procedures, and assisting with injured employee documentation.   


  • High School Diploma required
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or Medical Field with a desire to pursue a career in an Industrial Occupational Health and Safety setting. from an accredited university desired.
  • CPR, first aid or physical trainer, training within the last two years desired.
