The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the accounting/finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for GL account analysis, assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements and related analysis. This position reports to the assistant controller. Responsibilities

  • Process and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process and review Payroll in payroll software
  • Responsible for assisting the Assistant Controller in month-end closing and preparing journal entries
  • Responsible for managing Fixed Assets
  • Prepare, Review and Analyze Financial Statements as needed
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and Cash accounts as needed
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports as needed
  • Investigate questionable data
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Understanding of Financial Statements, Journal Entries, and GAAP
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Hands on experience with ERP systems, Microsoft AX a plus
  • Proficient in Word and Excel. Database and reporting writing skills a plus
  • Ability to lift occasional banker boxes

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 year degree

Perferred:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 2-5 years accounting or business-related experience, preferably in manufacturing
