Compliance Engineer

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining compliance regarding all products for both domestic and international markets.



  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Interact with all levels of employees from shop floor to management team.
  • Support internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.
  • Provide certification of Buy America conformance to customers.
  • Prepare metrics, reports, standard updates, and relevant information to share with a wide variety of department functions including Marketing, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Quality, and Customers.
  • Support EHS and Supply Chain with maintaining chemical Safety Data Sheets.



BS in Mechanical, Quality, Chemical or Fire Protection Engineering.

Ability to work in a sales driven manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of domestic and international product compliance requirements and procedures.

Competent with basic computer skills and software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Vault, and Adobe Acrobat.

Working knowledge of fire science.

Excellent time management, written and verbal communications skills.

Excellent team communication, human relations and organizational skills.

Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest and thorough, with the ability
to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

Ability to modulate a dynamic workload: from heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads to very focused detail-oriented work during critical projects.

Physical Demands: Health must be such that work performed for the required work hours is not inhibited. Some travel required.

Working Conditions:Varied-must be capable of working in any area of the facility as directed by location of assigned work.
