HEADER OPERATOR

ANACO a Division of McWane – is a leading manufacturer of plumbing joining systems and couplings products located in Corona, CA.  The company currently is seeking candidates for a Header Operator.

Header Operator under limited direction or supervision, using standard processes and continuous improvements, the Header Operator maximizes efficiency through the process of set-ups and operations of header machine(s) for the manufacturing of blank screws of various sizes. Processes methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards by operating and maintaining the Header Machine to deliver world-class products to Anaco customers.

• Sets-up, operates, troubleshoots, repair, and maintains header machine(s) according to detail blueprints, specifications, work orders and documents production numbers.
• Selects and obtains proper material and tooling for the job. Checks tooling and reworks as needed to manufacture part to print specification.
• Monitor/check/clean/change machine: Coils, dies, filter, oil; adjust from Husky to SD 2000.
• Maintains correct dimensions of parts while running the job using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, inspects completed parts to ensure they meet blueprints/specifications.
• Ongoing communication to Supervisor/Lead of parts/inventory needed to reach daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
• Able to read prints and job drawings for various size screw blanks.
• Must be familiar with supporting equipment such as Presses, Lathe, and Grinding Machines.
• Recognizes improper machine functioning and makes required adjustments.
• Maintain daily, a clean machine and work area as well as an annual PM service on machine.
• Responsible for following all safety OSHA requirements (Lock-out/Tag-out, housekeeping etc.) safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2-5 years of Header Operator experience
• Good attendance and work history required.

• Must be flexible, self-motivated with interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, and organizational skills.
• Must have great organizational and abilities to prioritize.
• Self-starter and able to work with little or no direction. Work independently and as a team.
• Must have mechanical abilities including the use of any size wrench.
