Overview

In this position, the trainee will train at the main foundry in Anniston, AL, to learn all processes including manufacturing, quality control, shipping, Inside Sales, and customer service, as well as working at our distribution centers across the country. After completion of this process, a successful trainee would be relocated to an open territory within one of our three regions, East, Central, or West.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
  • Travel through an assigned area to call on and develop relationships with regular and potential distribution customers, municipalities, engineers, water companies, etc.
  • Set up product presentations through cold calling, phone calls, and through existing distribution.
  • Prepare price quotations for customers as they pertain to job specifications and product availability.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into database.
  • Identify and work with other team members to resolve customer issues involving product, deliveries, and/or service.
  • Attend trade shows affiliated with the waterworks industry.
  • Be involved in industry associations.
  • Work in a team atmosphere to help develop a strong Company image through personal development, business development, industry ads, as well as other media.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related course of study.
  • Be willing to relocate to any location in the United States.
  • Be able to converse with proper diction while persuasively speaking (negotiating), discussing, and debating.
  • Be able to work within a team atmosphere.
  • Must possess strong and effective oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Be familiar with basic PC operation and software; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred; AX Dynamics 2012 experience a plus.
  • General accounting and financial management knowledge desired.
  • Waterworks industry knowledge and experience a strong plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously a must.
