Synapse is a technology company focused on expanding its solutions and footprint in the Industrial Internet of Things arena.  We are focused on developing and deploying solutions that drive increased profitability and sustainability for manufacturing and industrial customers through achieving energy savings, and efficiencies in equipment operation, material management, and process flow.  Our Senior Industrial Systems Analyst will be integral to our success, working with customers and utilizing our IIoT solutions to analyze customer data and identify opportunities for improvement in their industrial/manufacturing operations.

 

Synapse is looking for a Senior Industrial Systems Analyst who can provide strategic analysis services to our industrial and manufacturing customers.  The focus of this position will include, but is not limited to, assessing energy consumption data and production data to recommend and/or implement opportunities for energy savings; evaluating opportunities for improvements in equipment uptime and operational efficiency; assessing material management and process flow operations; and identifying opportunities for more effective and efficient compliance activities. The individual will also be responsible for working with customers to identify potential extensions of our portfolio of insights, algorithms, and consulting services focused on improving customer profitability and sustainable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess customer data in all areas of our solution set, to include energy consumption, equipment state and health, material management, and process flow to identify anomalies, discrepancies, and operating inefficiencies and work with customers to provide insights on customer operations, potential issues, and areas of improvement.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools perform assessments of customer data and prepare reports.
  • Identify and develop algorithms to facilitate data assessments and insights generation.
  • Complete analytic reports and present insights to key customer stakeholders and business partners, recommending solutions.

Facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and develop plans for change management.

  • Establish key performance indicators and success metrics for proposed and existing initiatives, products, and/or services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business (MBA a plus)
    • Experience working in and around industrial and/or manufacturing environments, and experience in manufacturing operations analysis.
    • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and conceptual thinking
    • Experience and proficiency using business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau and statistical analysis tools to develop analyses and create reports.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, and demonstration of the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
    • Excellent documentation skills, and experience creating detailed reports and delivering presentations.
    • A history of leading and supporting successful projects
    • Strong organizational and project management skills to be able to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
