Maintenance Mechanic

WE HAVE THREE 3RD SHIFT POSITIONS:  SUNDAY TO THURSDAY: 6:30pm-3:00am

STARTING RATE OF PAY:  $27.10

HEALTH INSURANCE AFTER 60 DAYS

SHIFT PREMIUM:  $1.20

$1,500.00 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 120 DAYS.

Clow Valve has one opening for a Maintenance C Mechanic at our Metal Casting Facility. Clow Valve Company Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for maintaining industrial equipment and on-site building maintenance.

The responsiblities of the successful candidate for the Maintenance Mechanic position will be but are not limited too:

-Repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment.
-performing routine inspection on Metal Casting Facility equipment.
-Perform routine lubrication and cleaning of Metal Casting Facility equipment.
-Perform minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machines.
-Use of common hardware including: bolts, pipe fittings, etc.
-Preventative maintenance of Metal Casting Facility equipment and machinery.
-Operate fork trucks, lifts, and conveyors.
-Welding and minor fabrications.

Qualifications include but are not limited too:

-Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
-Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.

-Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.

-Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.

-Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, flex, extend, exert force, wear gloves, & utilize tools.

-Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces.
-Ability to work with hands in water, around machinery, at unprotected heights, with dust & fumes & operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
-Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting. Tech degree is a strong plus.

-Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
-Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
