Overview

Paid Internship at M&H Valve Company in Anniston, AL. Up to 29 hours per week. $17.00/Hour

 

The Production internship is designed to give students a realistic preview of a Machine Shop role in a heavy manufacturing industry. The intern may be involved in the development of Process Inspection sheets, hands-on evaluation of quality aspects of works in process or product design with an eye for critical dimensions and tolerances, and/or scanning and cataloging of historic drawings into a digital system.

 

In addition to gathering, organizing, and updating data, interns will help create processes to streamline the movement of critical data. The  intern must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and customer service skills.

Screening:

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Machine Shop process sheets (CNC and Assembly & Test):
    • Collaborate with operators, trainers, and engineers to solidify concise process instructions
    • Translate processes into training sheets and work instructions
    • Shadow and assist trainers and operators in testing work instructions
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must be:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program of Engineering, Applied Engineering, Machining, or related field.
  • Eligible and approved for a school sponsored internship.
  • Available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
